I've been doing this for four years now. Four years of saying the same things, teaching the same frameworks, and watching them work for thousands of women. Black and brown women specifically have come to us feeling invisible and have left with offers that changed their lives. I want to be clear that none of that has changed. The advice still works. The frameworks still work. The results are still very much real. But something has been sitting with me for a while now and, as we sunset our current offers and unveil something new, I want you to know exactly what’s been on my mind.

The Resume Was Never Really the Problem

I've spent four years watching women pour everything they have into their resumes. Updating them, rewriting them, feeding them into AI, paying for services with other “career strategists” that handed them back the same document in a different font. 

And I've watched those same women continue to get overlooked, underpaid, and underestimated, not because the resume wasn't good enough but because the resume was never the actual problem. It was just a symptom.

The real problem is deeper than formatting and keywords. It's that brilliant, experienced, capable women have been operating in a job market that was never designed to see them clearly. And a well-optimized resume, while genuinely useful, is just one small piece of a much bigger puzzle that nobody has been helping them solve completely. I've been thinking about that puzzle a lot lately and I've decided it's time to do something about it.

What's Actually Changing

Effective May 31st, we’ve officially retired The Resume Optimizer and all other career coaching services. I know. Take a breath. I'll give you a second.

This wasn't an easy decision. The service has worked. The results have been real. But I've reached a point where offering a resume in isolation no longer feels like enough. Because for most of the women we work with, it isn't. The resume gets optimized and then they go back into the same broken process without the strategy, the positioning, the interview preparation, or the negotiation skills to actually land the role.  And that gap has been bothering me for a long time.

Why I'm Walking Away From Something That Was Working

Frankly because the market has changed and what we’re offering needs to evolve with it.

I spent years in corporate America being the person who built things. Real things like departments that didn't exist before I arrived. Processes that changed how an entire organization hired and onboarded people. I was the one people called when something needed to get done, the one who came in early, stayed late, and never once questioned whether the work was worth doing.

And when I asked for a $5,000 salary increase, they said no. Because all of that extraordinary work had just become expected. I had gotten so good at what I did that everyone around me forgot it was remarkable. Including me.

That experience is why I built this company. And it's why I'm not willing to offer a partial solution anymore when I know what a complete one looks like.

I'm not ready to give you every little detail yet. Partly because I'm still building it and partly because I want it to be right before I put it in front of you.
