If you’ve been part of the 6 Figure Chick Consulting™ community, then you already know we’re about real talk, real results, and real women changing their lives, one 6 Figure move at a time.
In September our team had the honor of attending the Sistas in Sales Conference in New York City and let me tell you, it was everything. From career-transforming strategies to next-gen digital tools, we walked away with serious gems that you need in your career playbook right now.
Whether you’re a mid-level pro looking to pivot or you’re dreaming of making your corporate exit strategy a reality, keep reading to learn exactly what you need to shift gears, elevate your strategy, and position yourself as the go-to, can’t-be-ignored candidate in your field.
Let’s get into the three biggest takeaways that will change how you sell yourself, your skills, and or business, and why it’s time to act like the closer that you are.

Takeaway #1: AI Is Here But It Won’t Replace the Human Touch
"AI isn’t going to take your job. But the person who knows how to use AI? She just might."
Artificial intelligence isn’t coming, it’s already here. Whether you’re building pitch decks, prepping for interviews, or working in sales and strategy, AI can be your secret weapon, but only if you know how to wield it. Here's what we learned while we were in New York.
CEOs, executives, and sales pros at the top of their game are already integrating AI tools into their workflow, not to replace themselves, but to enhance their effectiveness.
AI is a power tool for researching prospects, handling objections, prepping for meetings, and even suggesting talk tracks based on company values or past interactions.
You can use AI to test value propositions, create vision decks, or find “white space” market opportunities faster than ever before.
And if you’re job searching? AI on your resume and LinkedIn is no longer optional, it’s a green flag for recruiters that says you’re relevant, ready, and ahead of the power curve. Just adding AI as a skill without context isn’t enough though. Take a free course, get a certificate, and show proof of concept with real outcomes.
Tip: Check out Poe.com, IBM’s AI certificate program, or LinkedIn Learning to get started.
But here’s the best news yet. AI is likely to ever replace the human connection so stop worrying about AI stealing your job. Just like the internet and the device you’re reading this post on, AI is a tool and it’s going to help speed up your ability to show up as the best, authentic version of yourself.
However, in order to use it effectively, you still have to speak with clarity and presence. You still have to communicate like a closer. You still need to build real relationships. Because whether you’re in sales, business, or applying for roles, you have to remember that people still buy from, and interact with, people they like.
So bring your personality and presence into the room, whether that room is in-person or on Zoom.
Action Tip: Start experimenting with AI in your job search process. Try using it to write cover letters (yes, even though we hate them), prep for behavioral interview questions, or simulate “tough questions” in mock interviews. Use it to speak more clearly and concisely, just don’t let it speak for you.
Takeaway #2: Metrics Are Changing. And So Should Your Career Strategy
“Site clicks are cute, and new connections on LinkedIn are great, but impact is what sells.”
Let’s talk KPIs (key performance indicators) because the way we measure success in digital and career spaces is shifting fast. These quantifiable measurements are used to evaluate a company's (or your) overall long-term performance.
But gone are the days when click-through rates, connections on LinkedIn, and web traffic are enough to justify your value. In today’s digital-first landscape, impact matters more than impressions, and that applies whether you're in sales, marketing, or managing your own professional brand.
At the Sistas in Sales conference, we were challenged to rethink how we measure performance in 2025 and beyond. Because traditional funnels are dead. We’re now in the era of micro-moments and emotional touchpoints. People make decisions when they feel seen, understood, and valued, not just marketed to.
Large brands like Netflix are creating immersive experiences to meet consumers exactly where they are in physical spaces, digital pop-ups, and even interactive campaigns. Small brands? We have the same opportunity, just scaled differently. For job seekers and entrepreneurs alike, this translates to a number of things.
Being hyper-intentional about how and where your audience meets your brand.
Asking: “What moments are we creating?”
Thinking: “What impact are we leaving behind?”
Action Tip: Start mapping out your career or professional brand touchpoints. From the way your resume looks to your social media presence, everything speaks for you when you’re not in the room. Is your brand experience memorable, clear, and positioned for high-impact? If not, let’s fix that together!
Takeaway #3: Your Presence Is Your Power. Learn to Communicate Like a Closer.
“You’re not in the room by accident. Confidence isn’t a costume. It’s confirmation that you belong exactly where you are.”
We attended a game-changing session called "The Presence Playbook: Communicate Like a Closer" and listen, if we could bottle this info up and give it to every woman in our community, we absolutely would.
Let’s break down why executive presence is not just for the C-suite of your favorite Fortune 500 company. It’s for every woman ready to elevate their lives, both personally and professionally. Here’s what we learned (and what you need to master).
Connection builds trust, especially in sales and high-level conversations. If people don’t trust you, they won’t buy from you, promote you, or advocate for you.
Your body language, tone, and pacing all matter. Speak slowly, with intention, and remember, your face is always talking (even when you’re not).
Show up prepared but, read the room. Don’t just deliver what you practiced, adapt based on what your audience actually needs to hear.
And this one? Put it on a Post-It.
“There’s no need to fake it until you make it. You’re not faking confidence. You earned that seat.”
We know that many of our clients, especially Black and Brown women, are told to “tone it down” or “wait their turn.” But we’re here to say those days are over.
No matter what the current administration says about D.E.I., it’s your time to own the room. Whether that’s a sales meeting, a job interview, or a high-stakes negotiation, you are more than capable of thriving versus crumbling.
Action Tip: Practice your “elevator pitch” until you can say it in your sleep. This is your 30-second power intro that communicates your value with confidence and clarity. Don’t ramble. Don’t shrink. Speak like you know the room needs you. Because they do.
Final Thoughts? The Room Is Already Yours. Go Ahead And Step Into It.
The Sistas in Sales Conference wasn’t just about sales. It was about sovereignty. It was about reminding women like us that we belong in high-paying roles, decision-making rooms, and top-tier negotiations.
Not because someone gave us permission, but because we earned it.
So if you’re ready to take your career to the next level, don’t just read this and nod your head. Apply what you’ve learned. Track your growth. Speak with intention. Use the tech and learn the skills to stay relevant.
You’ve already got everything you need to transform your story. And you know you’ve got us in your corner. So if you’re ready to finally:
Pivot into a new industry
Build executive presence
Increase your salary by five figures (we’re talking $10k+)
Align your career with your purpose and pay
Then let’s work together. Because just like the over 5,000+ women that we’ve helped land higher-paying roles, transition into new industries, and step into the career confidence they’ve always deserved, we’re here for you.
